EasyLobby Secure Visitor Management and Badging

EasyLobby®, Inc. Launches SVMTM 7.0 (Secure Visitor Management)

Company Advances its Leadership Position in Visitor Management and Badging Software

Needham, Mass. - November 10, 2003 - - EasyLobby®, the industry leader in secure visitor management solutions, today announced the latest version of its flagship product, EasyLobby SVMTM version 7. SVM stands for Secure Visitor Management, and the new version 7 represents a major upgrade to version 6, which has had tremendous success in the market since its launch last January.

Since 1997, hundreds of organizations have replaced their outdated paper sign-in logs with EasyLobby. Instead of just capturing a visitor’s scribbled, unreadable name in a guest book, EasyLobby’s more secure visitor management and badge system electronically reads the visitor’s ID (drivers license or business card), and accurately captures all relevant information about them in an ODBC-compliant database, including the name of the person being visited, the reason for the visit, entry and exit times, and the visitor’s photo and signature (both optional). In twenty seconds or less, the visitor is professionally checked in and a high quality, customized visitor badge is printed.

The new SVM 7 software contains all of the award-winning features of EasyLobby’s previous versions, and adds critical new functionality including:
  • A new Site Manager, to configure SVM for networked operation across 100 or more different sites
  • Numerous enhancements to SVM’s advanced Application Programming Interface (API) to integrate SVM with any Access Control system
  • Numerous enhancements to eAdvance, our web-based application so employees can pre-register visitors via the intranet/internet, with Express Check-inTM
  • An enhanced AdministratorTM module, for security managers to monitor visitor traffic at all locations remotely, and print reports
  • Support for Intellicheck’s IDcheck™ driver’s license reader, which reads magstripes and 2D barcodes, authenticates each license, and detects tampering
  • Support for Card Scanning Solution’s ScanShell driver’s license scanner, which uses Optical Character Recognition to read the front of any license and capture the person’s information and photo automatically
  • New Self-Registration options for customizing unattended visitor check in
  • The ability to print a completely different badge for each visitor category
  • New programmable alerts to track frequent visitors in real-time
  • Ability to store a second visitor photo or scanned image from an ID card
  • A new Group Processing feature so groups of badges can be printed in advance with barcodes to automatically check in each visitor as they arrive
  • New one-button functionality to export database query results to Microsoft Excel for analysis, printing and/or emailing.
  • New visitor fields such as Classified status and Citizenship
  • The ability to print international flags on badges, based on country
  • An enhanced set of database maintenance tools for optimizing performance
“Given the rapid adoption that SVM 6 has experienced since its launch last January, we are very excited to introduce the many new features and innovations included in the new version 7. EasyLobby is very fortunate to enjoy such a large and growing customer base with a broad range of operating environments from which new ideas continue to be generated. This helps us continue to lead the industry with advanced functionality that makes our products more powerful and effective for our customers and partners, yet easy to use.” stated Howard Marson, EasyLobby’s CEO. “As more and more companies and organizations realize that the paper guest book sitting in their lobby does not provide sufficient or accurate information about who is in their building and why, we look forward to showing them how SVM 7 can improve their lobby security and recordkeeping, enhance their image, and make their visitors and employees feel safer.”

An unlimited number of personal computers running EasyLobby SVMTM 7 can easily be networked over any LAN or WAN to share one or more visitor databases on Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MSDE.
