Company Ships Major New Version of its Award-Winning Visitor Management System
Needham, Mass. - January 14, 2003 - - EasyLobby®, the industry leader in secure visitor management and badging solutions, today announced the launch of its new flagship product, EasyLobby SVMTM 6.0. SVM stands for Secure Visitor Management and represents a major upgrade to Photo PlusTM 5.1, the previous version of EasyLobby's highly successful visitor management software.
In most organizations today, visitors just scribble a name in a paper guest book. With EasyLobby, the visitor's ID (drivers license or business card) is electronically read, and all relevant information about them is automatically captured in a secure database file, inlcuding the name of the person being visited, the reason for the visit, and their entry and exit times. In twenty seconds or less, the person is professionally checked in and a high quality visitor badge is printed.
The new SVM 6.0 software contains all of the award-winning features of the previous version, and adds critical new functionality including:
- ODBC compliant support for Oracle and SQL Server databases
- An advanced Application Programming Interface (API) for easily integrating SVM 6.0 with any Access Control, HR, or CRM application
- The ability to automatically capture visitor information by reading the magstripe or 2D barcode on a driver's license, or by OCR scanning a business card
- Support for capturing visitor photos and signatures electronically
- Major enhancements to the EasyLobby AdministratorTM module to allow security personnel to remotely print reports and monitor visitors checking in and out of all locations, in real-time, from any PC on the network
- Support for creating Contractor and visiting Employee badges that can be used for multi-day check in and check out (no need to re-issue badges each day)
- Comprehensive support for Multi-Tenant buildings, both commercial and residential, including the ability for tenants to pre-register their visitors over the internet (using EasyLobby eAdvanceTM)
- The ability to print Employee photo ID cards, plus over 200 built-in Visitor badge templates to choose from, and a new point-and-click Badge Designer for quickly and easily creating custom badge designs
- An Access Control List feature which automatically matches new visitor names and faces with a customer defined list of unwelcome people (ex-employees, hostile spouses, etc.)
- An enhanced Self-Registration mode for unattended visitor check in and out, with support for six languages and automatic email to the employee being visited
- A simple, intuitive user interface with four different levels of log-in security to protect valuable company data and program settings

Networking Support
An unlimited number of personal computers running EasyLobby SVMTM 6.0 can easily be networked over any LAN or WAN to share one or more visitor databases on Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or Access.
System Requirements
EasyLobby SVMTM 6.0 is compatible with all Microsoft® Windows® operating systems, from Windows 98 through Windows XP. Minimum PC requirements include a Pentium III processor, 128 MB of RAM, and 50 MB of free hard disk space.
